Pre-paid Electricity Meter Software Update
City teams are on standby to help update electricity meters.
The software for all prepaid electricity meters in South Africa will expire in 2024. Prepaid meter software must be updated, or you will not be able to recharge your meter with electricity.
The City is following a phased approach and is updating the software area by area over time.
