I decided to upload this since it portrays how I feel or felt at the current time, not only does this video serve purpose to portray my present feelings, but also some advice that can be taken to deal with loss. I may not be the best person to come towards for advice but nonetheless, here's my take on it.
Listen, if you're dealing with loss whether that be if you no longer have connections with a very good person or an important person has passed away. Don't be discouraged, most people are frustrated with themselves when it comes to relationships that ended because it was their own fault. Remember, mistakes keep us in check and prevent the same thing happening again. You're probably thinking, "Why did I say that? I'm so dumb!" or "I wish I could just go back in time." Mistakes aren't mistakes if you fix them, alright? As long as you can formerly apologize about what you did or said, it's not a mistake. To me, a mistake is a screw up that wasn't attended to. Though, sometimes you may not be able to apologize anymore. For example, if you made a mistake and the person no longer has ties with you, it's not possible to get in contact with therm. Although, you can still try reaching out to them. Moreover, you can talk to others you both know so you could inform the person that you want to discuss about the incident. While on the other hand, if you're not ever able to apologize to them. This is arguably one of the worst feelings when it comes to loss, the feeling of not being able to notify this important person to you that you deeply, truly are sorry for your mistake can have people constantly looking back to the relationship/friendship. This introduces regret. Look, I know it's hard to not look back and regret the things you said or did towards the person, but you can't keep beating yourself up over it. If anything, regret shows your human, you're human enough to realize that what you said or did was wrong and you wish you would've never did or said it. Essentially, do regret but don't let it hold you back. Similarly, you look back at the past to reflect off the times you had with the person. Sometimes it's good to do this since it gives people joy, but don't constantly look back at the past experiences you had with them to supply you with happiness, don't let the past be your main source of happiness. If you do, you'll find yourself in the same place as yesterday, appreciate what's now as well. Anyways, if you can't apologize to this important person, then at least forgive yourself for not being able to. I'm sure the other person knows you're very sorry for what you did or said that ended the relationship/friendship. Moving on, if someone passes away in your life, don't stay stuck on their death. Think about what the other person is thinking when you can't move on since they died, they think they're a burden. They want you to keep going and advance in life, they would never want to hold you back. Yes, it's okay to be sad about their death, it's in our nature to but don’t let it hold you back obviously. This important person wouldn’t want to be recognized for bringing sadness and depression into your life, so instead be more happy that they were who they were in your life. The purpose they carried should possess more value that gives you joy than sadness. Essentially, this person should bring you more happiness rather than sadness, even at times of their death. Unfortunately, sometimes you won’t be able to continue the relationship/friendship with that important person and that is perfectly fine. Your journey can’t end here, nor does it have to go through a long post pone on its continuation. As mentioned before, I’m sure the person wouldn’t ever want to slow you down or stop you in the tracks of life. There’s always someone else that could bring you the same amount or even possibly more happiness than this person. To me, it doesn’t feel like that with this certain person. Friendships ending can be very hard, especially when you’ve known them almost for your whole life or they may be the closest person to you, but you can’t let the fact that the friendship ended halt you. Things always come to an end, but recognize the certain thing whether it was a friendship or not more for bringing you joy. Yes, it’s very difficult to take in the fact it’s ending or ended, yet it’s only rational that things that can bring so much happiness also carry the potential to make you sad. Embrace that it happened. Additionally, you’ve got to realize that there’s still so much out there left for you, so much to experience, feel. Eventually humanity will realize mistakes come along with anything whether that be love or friendship. If you come across this as the other person, the person who’s responsible for whether the friendship/relationship continues. Remember love is a leap of faith in which you place your trust in the other person, hoping they’ll do the same.
