B.B. King is a true legend and pioneer of the electric guitar. The lyrical phrases he coaxed from his beloved Gibson, nicknamed 'Lucille' are a part of guitar history and he's influenced all of us, whether we know it or not! Although never technically flashy, he showed constant touches of class and sophistication through his love of Jazz and Gospel, which meant his played never seemed to just come from a pentatonic or Blues scale basis. Deft vibrato and tasty use chromaticism and emotive bends meant even the simplest of phrases 'sang' like a voice and I think we can all take a lesson in that.
