Guile's Theme Goes With Everything - Sunset Fights Twilight
My shtick is to put Mortal Kombat music over everything, but this felt more appropriate.
I was pleasantly surprised that Hasbro let them use the "Twilight is drunk on power" idea for their perfect little princess, but I'm bummed it happened in the last 15 minutes with no real development.
Could've been a great concept for a two parter, a seasonal arc, or even the actual MLP movie. Really dive into the psyche of the main character, her flaws (controlling nature, intellectual arrogance, busybody attitude, OCD, etc.) and watch her slide into tyranny and then her friends could bring her back from the brink. Not any edgier for kids than say, Frozen. But nah, easier to just make her be a cackling demon.. At east she looked ready to rock and roll, '80s metal hair and all.
I thought it was kinda funny how Sunset went from wearing a leather jacket and boots and looking like a biker chick to an angelic dress and hermes heels. Only bad guys are allowed to look all out metal.
Also funny how the EG trilogy basically ended up being a Doug and Sailor Moon crossover.. Honk honk.
