QLED vs OLED
O-LED and Q-LED are two of the biggest tech names in the TV world. O-LED stands for Organic Light Emitting Diodes, and Q-LED stands for Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diodes. The main difference between the two technologies is, that O-LED TVs utilize an organic compound to emit light, whereas Q-LED TVs use quantum dots to generate a wide variety of colors. The organic materials in an O-LED panel are thin, usually only a few nanometers thick 1 of 1000th the thickness of a human hair. These organic materials form the pixels that light up when electricity is applied to them. In contrast, Q-LED panels use inorganic materials for their LEDs instead of organic ones; these inorganic LEDs are about 100 times thicker than O-LED pixels.
