The Harrison Public Library partnered with the Jewish Community Center of Harrison to present a special event in honor of National Holocaust Remembrance Day.
In Wolf: A Story of Hate, author Ella Scheinwald tells her father’s true story and his experiences in corporate-owned forced labor camps, turned into labor-torture-death camps during the Holocaust. These companies collaborated with the Nazi regime in perpetrating genocide and mass murder.
In times of extreme political polarization, of resurging hate, and appalling ignorance, this book is surprisingly and scarily relevant to today. It is a warning about the leadership we choose, and how our words and actions have profound meaning and consequences.
