Sonex November Aerobatics
Lighting was not optimal, but flight conditions were awesome! Many of the maneuvers were strung together, but because diving is required to gain airspeed for maneuvers, I edited out the time I spent climbing back to altitude. All maneuvers are done between 3,500' and 5,000'.
In competition, loops need to be started from level flight, even if having to dive for airspeed, so for a couple of the loops I pulled momentarily to level, noted my altitude, then pulled through the loop. In both cases I started level at 4,800' and finished level at 4,800', so the Sonex will do what it needs to do to fly the maneuvers correctly.
After 45 minutes of aerobatics my back was actually a bit sore. Max G's are generally 3.5 G's, with some momentary 4.0 G's.
