In today's video, we will be using layer masks to isolate a color in our image. Using layer masks allows us to retain the color information of the entire photo, in case we want to go back and make some changes. In our project we start with two layers. Both of our image. We will start by desaturating our bottom layer image to make it b&w. Then using the paths tool we will trace around areas in our top layer, that we want to retain color. Finally, after creating an active selection from our path, we will use layer masks to reveal the selection, but hide everything outside of it. Creating this color pop effect.
