Fascists on Mars is an italian movie directed by Corrado Guzzanti and Igor Skofic in 2006. It is a uchronia, a "satirical exercise" of historical fiction-revisionism, filmed as a fake documentary and parodying the style of newsreels of the Istituto Luce during the Fascist period. The plot is set In 1938, when a handful of black shirts, commanded by the hierarch Gaetano Maria Barbagli, embarked on the prototype of a German space rocket called Repentaglia IV, built with the help of the physicist Ettore Majorana, and set off to conquer Mars, the «Bolshevik red and treacherous planet ».
