This video explores the treatment of obstructive jaundice in pancreatic (peri-ampullary) cancer using simple line drawings. Fifty percent of the pancreatic cancer patients present with jaundice. It can be a disabling and debilitating symptom. Pruritis, metallic taste, appetite, and sleep disturbances are common. Simple measures may alleviate some of the symptoms but relieving bile tube obstruction is associated with the most rewarding solution. This video highlights when and how jaundice ought to be relieved, including medical therapies.
