Julian Brandt was included in the squad of Germany for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Joachim Löw, Germany coach, selected him instead of Leroy Sane who showed fantastic performances in the English Premier League.
Despite of Brandt's abilities, he came in as a substitute right before the end of the all group stage games against Mexico, Sweden and Korea Republic.

He was one of the best attacking players for Germany at that time.
He should have been given more time.
If so, Germany might have achieved a better result than being eliminated from the group stage.
