The Crypt of Civilization is the idea of Thornwell Jacobs. It was Jacobs imense passion for history that inspired what we now know as time capsules. Time capsules are usually sealed for a decade or a century but, with the resourses that Thornwell Jacobs had, he hoped to take the Crypt of Civilization to year 8113! Thornwell Jacobs gets assistance from a whole range of people, from the US government to the inventor of microfilms. It's amazing how many things he was able to fill the Crypt of Civilization with!
