Special symbols seen in this video are Kaktovik numerals. They were designed to count in base-20 (vigesimal) instead of base-10 (decimal). Scientific American even made an article that mentions it, titled "A Number System Invented by Inuit Schoolchildren Will Make Its Silicon Valley Debut".
Base-20 is used in many cultures, so making a calculator for it is rather relevant. I recommend watching "Why These Are The Best Numbers!" by Artifexian to quickly learn about Kaktovik numerals.
