September Recap with Magician The Great Omar
What’s up, everyone! It’s The Great Omar here, and wow, September was packed! Let’s dive right in and take a look at all the wild, fun, and magical moments that made up my month. Let’s get started!
First big gig of the month was at Dos Lagos Amphitheater — performing alongside the hilarious Adam Carolla, Eric Blake, and Crystal Marie. A sold-out crowd of 300 people, and trust me, it was LIT. I kicked off the night with a bang! Comedy and magic under the stars…what could be better?
Then I was off to Temecula to set up my photo booth again for a Western-themed family night at an elementary school! There were kids, parents, and plenty of cowboy hats — y’all know how much I love bringing smiles and joy, and this crowd had a blast.
But we didn’t stop there! I celebrated Ralph Martinez’s 85th birthday in Arcadia with some backyard magic and comedy. And then, zooming straight to Ontario, I kept the magic alive at another birthday bash — backyard parties really hit different. They remind me of where I started, from street performer to backyard party entertainer.
Fast forward to Hermosa Beach, and I found myself at The Comedy & Magic Club for their ‘10 comics for $10’ night. Two back-to-back shows, and man, the energy was incredible. 250 people packed into that main room — I felt the love from the crowd.
September closed out with two heartwarming cancer fundraisers: one at Stevens Steakhouse and another at The Stand-Up Comedy Club in Bellflower. Hearing stories of cancer survivors before I took the stage was truly inspiring… and I got a standing ovation from a guy in a wheelchair — powerful moments like these remind me why I love what I do.
So that was September in a nutshell — a month of laughter, joy, and spreading magic wherever I could. Now, I’m looking forward to an epic October as I celebrate my 41st birthday!
