Cheap Way to Scan Negatives - But Good Quality
Here's a way you may not have considered to scan your 35mm or other film negatives. Popular methods include DSLR scanning and using the popular Epson V600 Scanner. In this video I talk about my epiphany and how it led me to a super cheap, super easy way to scan my 35mm negatives and at a great quality and resolution. Of course the best quality you're going to get is from a lab as far as the optical resolution of those scanners and how they render color. Except that very often we only go for the cheap/base offering when ordering scans and those are usually lower resolution JPGs. So we're not even getting the full quality that those scanners (like the Noritsu) offer. This gives you what I feel is better than the cheap lab scan option, but also give you the capability of doing it yourself at home and for cheap!
Scans in this video are from 35mm film shots that I took on an old Yashica Electro 35 GS. The film stock I used was Fujifilm C200 (color negative film).
