Mechanic Artwork is a steampunk animated stop-motion series about human nature, the neverending cycle of war and human suffering and the way of living with it. It explores many philosophical themes and refferences real events and behaviors of mankind presented in an alternative universe where the world has been subjected to The Great Chemical War, which filled the skies with crimson red chemicals that alter and deform the living. The series is set in Central Island, Gearman's City - a city that survived during the apocalyptic event and continued living, however, under a new leadership, paranoid by previously endured events...
A detective is hired by its leaders to investigate a strange case in the city, which gets him involved with a clan of revolutionaries called "The Liberta Clan", planning to take action against the president and causing an unknown alien virus related to the red chemicals to spread throughout the entire island...
