Using geospatial capabilities to better understand climate impacts
By combining the Met Office’s latest UK Climate Projections and climate change expertise with Esri UK’s interactive geospatial capabilities and industry knowledge, we can better understand climate change impacts on key areas, including transport, agriculture, health and energy. Dr Addy Pope walks through the collaboration between Esri UK and the Met Office to create interactive resources to help children aged 7-16 learn more about climate change and its impact, and by doing so exemplifies the geospatial channel approach to increasing the useful accessibility of climate data to maximise informed mitigation and adaptation actions.
