[Greek Grammar] Articles - Definite vs Indefinite
Definite and indefinite articles, focusing on singular and nominative case, for simplicity.

In English, there are times where you might use "the" in front of a masculine or feminine noun, e.g. "the woman" or "the man". In general, in English, if it's a person's name or a concept, you omit the "the". For example: "Sean does ..." or "Honesty is good...".
Bottom line is, in Greek, you ALWAYS have the definite article (ο, η, το), no matter if you omit it or not in English. However, the indefinite article (ένας, μία, ένα) can often be omitted in Greek, because of its association with the concept of "one". Hope that clears things up a bit.
