Stronger support for platform workers
The new Platform Workers Protections Bill recognises that platform workers deserve to be treated fairly and equitably. Under the new Bill, platform workers will experience an increase in their total earnings after factoring CPF contributions from platform operators. Platform work associations will also have the legal mandate to represent the interest of platform workers.
Senior Minister of State for the Ministry of Manpower Dr Koh Poh Koon was speaking in Parliament on 9th September 2024.
