Radziwill Castle, Nesvizh , Belarus ! The history of Nesvizh Castle:
In the first half of the XVI century, one of the richest Radziwills in Europe became the owner of Nesvizh. The foundation stone of the Nesvizh Castle was laid in 1583.
The castle was rebuilt many times and as a result acquired the appearance of a palace combining features of many architectural styles: Renaissance, Baroque, Rococo, classicism, Neo-Gothic, modernism.
In 1939, when the Red Army entered Nesvizh and Soviet power was established, the Radziwills left the castle.
After the Second World War, a sanatorium was located in Nesvizh Castle, and the park fell into disrepair.
In 1993, the National Historical and Cultural Museum-Reserve was established in Nesvizh, which included the castle.
In 2005, the Nesvizh Palace and Park Complex was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage List.
