Matias Niemelä, a core developer on the Angular team, is hosting the workshop. He currently works on ngAnimate and AngularDart. He also blogs at yearofmoo.com and has a passion for teaching web development.
Most of the Angular material out there spends a lot of time on the basics and getting started yet not much time is put into pulling data into your application from a remote API. Instead of going the basic route, we're focusing on querying APIs and handling user interactivity and wiring an application together. Finally, topping everything off with Animations and some wrapping things together into a mobile application. We'll be skipping the installation and directory structure and providing a starter project. Therefore, a small intro to Angular is a suggested pre-req, but you should be able to catch on quickly.
