Expand your reading horizons with “Take 5” book presentations
Each presenter has five minutes to tell you why you should read the five books they've chosen. All books center on TCCL’s 2023 Summer Reading Program theme, "All Together Now: Kindness/Friendship/Unity."
Ellen Cummings, TCCL’s director of customer experience, will emcee the evening.
Presenters include:
Shadia Dahlal – actor, dancer, director, writer
Oly Mistry, software engineer
Leah Weyand, TCCL youth fiction selector
Rebecca Harrison, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library community engagement manager
Krystal Lyons, TCCL customer care specialist
The purpose of the Take 5 program is to introduce the community to a wide variety of books that may spark a new interest. Books will include everything from the popular to the offbeat and scholarly, including both fiction and nonfiction.
