RACIAL INJURY - AMENDMENT TO LAW 7,716 OF '89 ON RACISM
The Brazilian Supreme Court (STF) has made the crime of racial insult imprescriptible (meaning it can be prosecuted at any time, regardless of when it was committed). The decision, made on October 28th, established that cases of racial insult can be classified as racism. In practice, this represents a change in how the crime is punished.
