Loram Rail Grinder at Night!!! (SPARKS) 4K
Here we see one of the Loram rail grinders reprofiling the rails on Norfolk Southern's East End between Birmingham and Atlanta. The train had spent the weekend parked on the industrial lead in Pell City and worked at night in-between regular freight movements. I tried to catch the train again in Eastaboga but steady freight traffic kept the train in the sidings until after midnight. The sparks are a result of the grinding of the rails. The grind heads were lifted right before the train got to the rail lubricator I was standing next to. Thanks for watching!
