Acoustic Panels made from recycled textile waste
We are giving a new beginning for used the denim waste by turning them into thick strain and weaved them into acoustic panel or partition. Through this collaboration, students of Interior Design LaSalle College being challenged to reimagining the use of EcoTouch's insulator made of clothing pre-waste and post-consumer waste.
It took 30 used denims to turn into thick strains and 24 hours to weave them together into partition. More than 30 students are being involved in this project. This collaborative efforts hopefully could encourages students to design responsibly with explore natural and local raw materials, as well as alternative design approaches. Also can bring inspiration to the people seeing it for more aware about sustainability materials.
