Another foray into dub techno...
Right at the start there's a mix of RD9 hats and Behringer Edge white noise hats with other layers of percussion added as the track progresses... Using the chord oscillator on the Behringer Grind and the 'Dusting' preset on the Hydrasynth for the chord chops. Bass are toms sampled from the RD9 alongside West Pest for the donk and Neutron for the drone. The other synths are just adding some further layers.
To give hands more time to tweak stuff and fire one-shots, I've set up loads of follow commands to keep track moving along automatically.
Mastered really quickly using a stock Ableton Saturator device to add some colour, J37 tape simulator on that mid-range mastering preset to add even more colour, a LinMB on adaptive electro mastering preset to compress slightly, and an L2 just doing yer basic -3b gain reduction limiting. The longest time mastering this was waiting for the track to bounce.
anyway, I digress... what was I going on about???
