This video provides an introduction to the assignments, policies, and online classroom navigation for the UMUC course, COMM 390: Writing for Managers.

The course is taught by Dr. Lawrence J. Clark, an expert in classical rhetoric, neuro-linguistic programming, and sales psychology. Clark uses his knowledge of ethical influence and persuasion concepts and theories to help businesses. non-profit organizations, government agencies, education institutions, and others to use ethical persuasion strategies to promote and sell their products and services, manage their employees, and encourage supporters to donate money, vote for political candidates and policy reforms, and support a variety of causes.

Clark's theories are based upon the seminal work of Aristotle, Plato, Sarejit, Cicero, Cialdini, Bander, Grinder, Hogan, and others.
