Christopher Hitchens on Turkish looting in Cyprus
Why do humanists care about religious historical monuments? They usually view them as heritage of all mankind. We care about the Buddah-statues of Bamian in Afghanistan and we do care about Cypriot Christian and Hellenic artwork. The behaviour of Turkey in Cyprus is indeed appalling and needs more exposure.
