✒ GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT THE GAME:
Mario Party 3 is the third installment in the "Mario Party" series and the last for Nintendo's discontinued console, the "Nintendo 64." Although the Nintendo GameCube was imminent, there was another party on the N64 in 2001. This farewell party started here on November 16, 2001. 1.91 million buyers worldwide wanted to participate. Developer Hudson Soft broke new ground in some ways with the third installment in the series. For example, they invented a Story Mode for the first time, in which the goal is to win the Millennium Star, which is born only once in 1,000 years. Whoever possesses it is said to be the superstar of the entire universe. Naturally, the Nintendo characters fought over this special star, which is why the conflict could only be resolved with a Mario Party and the new Duel Boards. These boards differ from those in the normal Party Mode because it is played one-on-one. The characters try to gain a lot of money and strong partners on a game board. These partners have different life energy and attack power. If the duelist's hearts run out and their partners are therefore unable to protect them sufficiently, or if the person with fewer hearts and coins after the allotted rounds has expired, they lose. The balance between classic party and duel is what defines this Story Mode. No expense was spared on new characters or minigames, as in addition to Waluigi, Daisy is now playable and can prove herself in over 70 minigames and on the game boards. In this mode, we first play Story Mode and then later battle with Juli for the title of Superhero in Party Mode.
Every 1,000 years, a very special star is born: the Millennium Star. Legend has it that whoever possesses this star will become the superhero of the entire universe. Today, exactly, the day of its birth has arrived again, but this time something goes wrong during its birth. It falls from the sky and lands right in front of Mario and his friends, who are just sitting comfortably together, in the garden of Peach's castle. Naturally, everyone immediately wants the star for themselves, so a round of Mario Party is played to determine who is worthy of taking the star. This edition is led by the talking dice Purzel and the Millennium Star himself, who wants to see for himself who is the most capable of the group.
