Marvel has wasted no time in revealing new images for What If...? Season 3 as it posted teases of what to expect, including more prominent roles for Sam Wilson and Monica Rambeau. The MCU is now halfway through its Multiverse Saga, with the multiverse very much intact after Loki's heroic sacrifice in the Loki Season 2 finale. With that in mind, it's no surprise that What If...? is fully indulging in the alternate timelines made possible by the new God of Stories - and some newer faces are taking center stage.
In a series of four images shared via X/Twitter, Marvel has teased that Red Guardian, Winter Soldier, and a Gundam-style Captain America Mech will be starring alongside Sam Wilson and Monica Rambeau in Season 3's episodes. A version of Giant-Man is also seen dangling Red Guardian by his leg, though it is unclear who is behind the mask. The post also thanked viewers for watching What If...? Season 2, which earned the MCU the highest Rotten Tomatoes score of all of its releases in 2023. It's unsurprising, then, that Marvel is capitalizing on that residual hype in early 2024.
