Ennis Great Horned Owlet Gulps Snake
8pm 21 Feb. Mom left the nest and returned with a small garter snake and patiently rubs it across 3 little beaks to see which one might eat it. After several attempts and drops the oldest owlet actually manages to gulp it successfully. Eating prey whole is the natural way for owls to feed and so the little has learned it's first lesson.
