*EtherChannel*
**Purpose**: EtherChannel is a technology used to combine multiple physical Ethernet links into a single logical link. It can be used to improve bandwidth, increase fault tolerance, and ensure redundancy.
**How it works**: EtherChannel can be configured manually or by using LACP (or PAgP, another Cisco proprietary protocol). Once configured, the switch treats the aggregated links as one logical link.
**Types**:
**Static EtherChannel**: Manually configured link aggregation.
**LACP EtherChannel**: Uses the LACP protocol to dynamically configure EtherChannel.
**PAgP EtherChannel**: A Cisco proprietary protocol for link aggregation, similar to LACP.
