Do you need math knowledge as a software engineer?
A long time ago, my first real-world software product was a Web App to take online knowledge tests. Everything was fine, even without Math knowledge. The UI was built with React, and the API used Node.js with Fancy Websockets to make real-time communication happen. As it turned out, the critical concept for Web App users was to see the overall statistics on how they performed during the tests and get back the average knowledge score. I was learning math at university to pass the exams and nothing more, but it turned out that for my first real-world software product, I needed to create boring math equations, which was the critical part of the whole product itself.
