The CARE Program is designed to assist a survivor of recent sexual assault by giving their chosen supporter skills to help with the healing process.

The Program's principal investigator Dr. Emily Dworkin (assistant professor in psychiatry and behavioral sciences at UW School of Medicine) describes how the study works, and how her past experience as a rape crisis advocate inspired her to create this system of support.
