Cornish Metals Inc (AIM:CUSN, TSX-V:CUSN, OTC:SBWFF) chief development officer Fawzi Hanano spoke at the Proactive One2One Investor forum about the company's South Crofty tin project located in Cornwall, UK.
Hanano detailed the project’s historical significance and its potential as one of the highest-grade tin deposits not currently in production. Acquired in 2016, the South Crofty mine is fully permitted, boasting existing infrastructure and a strong local support base.
Hanano highlighted the global demand for tin, a critical metal in electronics and the clean energy transition. Saying that South Crofty could contribute significantly to future tin supply, projecting an annual production of 5,000 tonnes during its peak years. "We expect this project to generate over 300 high-paying jobs in one of the poorest regions of the UK". Illustrating the local impact of the mine’s reopening. With strong economic projections and ongoing exploration efforts, Cornish Metals aims to bring domestic tin production back to the UK by 2027.
