The Scriptures were revealed in Arabic and the Torah was preserved in Syriac-Arabic, a dialect of the Hebrews. There was no language called Hebrew at the time. Hebrews spoke Arabic, then Aramaic, while Greek retains the original Arabic alphabet attributed to Abraham (as). In the revealed Word of God, the Mahdi is the Awaited Guide of Monotheism. He is called Mahdi in Daniel 2:28 and Para-Elect in the Gospel.
