This anime is based off the 1986 Movie Highlander. The film tells the story of Connor MacLeod, a 16th century Scottish Highlander who is an Immortal, who cannot die unless he is beheaded. And there are others like him. The film follows the period of his life that occurs in New York City during the year 1985, with the particular focus being his battles with the last remaining Immortals, in order for him to finally win "The Prize."
