The Ukrainian military showed CNN journalists a new tactic for clearing fields in the Zaporizhzhia sector. Mine clearance is carried out in the dark - metal mines retain the summer sun's heat while the ground around them cools.
This allows them to detect them using a thermal imager on a drone and then detonate them.
