Gran Canaria: The Ultimate Motorcycle Paradise
The island of Gran Canaria, Spain, totally blew us away with its amazing natural beauty and all sorts of landscapes. If you're looking for a warm spot that's both touristy and has some hidden gems, this island is a must-see! We checked out Gran Canaria during the holiday rush in December 2023 and were super impressed with what we found. It's a popular hangout for sun-seekers from northern Europe, but we were stoked to discover some chill places without the crowds. You can have it both ways here. Gran Canaria has awesome public transport and some of the best motorbike roads in Europe. We decided to rent a Honda NC750X DCT (automatic) and it was perfect for cruising around two-up. ** We got our bike from Canary Ride in Las Palmas and highly recommend them for their great service and communication. https://www.canaryride.com We booked and paid ahead of time, and picking up the bike was a breeze. The bike was in top shape, filled up with gas, and they even threw in a phone holder with charging and a topbox. Gran Canaria is a fantastic place to ride and check out what people call "a miniature continent on one island" with all the different scenery. ** We picked the Northern part of the island to dodge the tourist crowds in the busy South.
