Let's take a look at how to simply install or update your graphics card driver in Windows 10 or Windows 11.
First, let's open the application by typing dxdiag in the search bar to find your graphics card model.
Then, we can see our onboard graphics card in the Display section and the external graphics card in the Renderer tab.
Windows Update usually installs drivers for onboard graphics cards. We'll install a driver for our external Nvidia card.
Another way to find your graphics card model is to press the Windows x key and then go to Device Manager.
You'll see your secondary graphics card in the Display Adapters section. Click Properties and copy its name from the Details section.
Now, for driver installation, it's generally best to choose official providers. For Nvidia cards, use the address on the screen, and for AMD cards, use AMD's own website.
Make your choice based on your specific card.
Now, for the 940 MX model, I'm going to the Nvidia website and selecting the type, series, product, system, and language in the manual search section.
To find your operating system type, you can press the Windows x key and click the System option.
By making your selections and clicking "Start Search," I find the latest driver for your card.
Click "Accept and Install" to initiate the download. If you have an AMD card, for example, you can select the AMD Radeon RX 570 as shown on the screen and click "Submit." You can access your card's driver.
My Nvidia download is complete. Now let's move on to the installation. I run the file and proceed, simply selecting the graphics driver and completing the installation with the recommended settings. I've expedited this process a bit so you don't have to wait. After the installation is complete, you can check the version in Device Manager. All changes will take effect after you restart your computer.
That's all. Since AMD and Nvidia are generally the most popular graphics cards in Turkey, you can easily update and install your graphics card drivers with this method. bit.ly/ogretenvideo
