The Property Man is the first two reels film directed by Charlie Chaplin.
It was produced by Mack Sennett for Keystone Studio and released in 1914 by Mutual Film. Chaplin is hired as a prop finder for the theatre. All sort of trouble ensues involving the actor’s props being confused and trouble follows when trying to establish who will be occupying the star’s dressing room.
