How I Replaced a timing chain on a 1968 Cadillac.
Part 15: In this video we tackle the job of replacing the timing chain gear set on my 1968 Cadillac with the 472 CI engine.
I would consider this an advanced DIY job. It takes a of work, time and patience to complete this job. Some special tools are needed as well.
Tools needed: A LOT! And you'll need a bearing puller set and a harmonic balancer puller/installer both available on Amazon or eBay.
It would be very helpful to have the Cadillac "Shop Manual" for your year car as well.
