This LP will feature Dual Commentary. What is that you ask? Simple. One video with no commentary over the cutscenes, or "Cut Commentary", and an "Uncut" version of the video, with commentary throughout.

This game was developed by the Spanish company Mercury Steam, and released in late 2010. IGA was no longer at the helm of the series, as it had stagnated under his design, and Konami wished to reboot and expand the fanbase.

Fastforward to Lords of Shadow. When compared to other games for the PS3/360 generation, it had an average to below average budget, and yet is currently the highest selling CV game to date.

Many people have received it well, calling it the first truly enjoyable 3D CV game, and a great break from the IGA formula that had stagnated the series.

Others claim it is a GoW rip-off (which is a good coincidence because the developers of GoW stated they drew heavy influence for their combat system from a Castlevania game, Lament of Innocence), stale story, and boring gameplay/locals.

Personally, I really enjoy this game. While it's not by favorite CV, (that title belongs to CVIII, with IV a close second), it far outshines any of the recent "Castleroids" put out under IGA's commission. The story is about as spectacular as you'd expect from a game of this type, but is at least willing to try different things, unlike what seemed to be the exact same story over and over again, with the IGA games, just main character/gimmicks changed. The music, I find is excellent, and fits really well, and I MUCH prefer this artstyle to the effeminate bishonin style used for most of the IGA games. At least the main male character in a game that takes place in the 11th century, doesn't look like a BDSM gear wearing fellow that you'd see if you went into a place called "Bad Billy's" or some shit.

Anyway, I'm going to have RSCNyx along for the ride, and he has not played ANY of the LoS games. So hopefully between my bit of :spergin: knowledge, and his fresh experience, something entertaining will come of this, and will pique your interest enough to check out the game for yourself!
