404 File Not Found- Taeyong Lee [Orchestra Version]
One of my favorite parts of music awards season is seeing all the new performances complete with new dramatic arrangements of songs we already know and love. Usually at MAMA (Mnet Asian Music Awards), MMA (Melon Music Awards), and Golden Disc artists will have shortened intro versions of songs for dance performances, entrances, etc. That's what was in my head when I made this.
When Lee Taeyong released his debut EP "Shalala" this was one of the first of many favorites. "404 File Not Found" especially resonated with me as I was dealing with some pretty bad mental health struggles at the time. With my anxiety at an all time high, working on this song was one of the only ways I could calm myself down. So, what started as a fun little project in my room to learn how to use native instruments in Logic Pro better, became my saving grace.
I have been a huge fan of NCT and all of its subunits (NCT 127, NCT DREAM, and WAYV) for many years. So, I knew I would love this solo EP. I just didn't realize how much. "404 File Not Found" in its original form is a mellow lofi hip-hop track with beautifully emotional lyrics. I have reimagined it here as a cinematic orchestral version. I hope you enjoy it :)
