Here I walk you through my Equity Toolkit Project for CUAI 5199 - Teaching in a Diverse Society. There are 3 parts to this project:
1) A beginning personal statement about what my goals are for the collection of resources (context, age, purpose, goals, etc.).
Including these questions...
–How are you going to enact/embed/engage change in your classroom and school?
–What will you do to disrupt racism in your classroom?
–What do you still need to learn for yourself? What
–How are you building your expertise in areas of equity and inclusion?

2) Then, for each resource/toolkit item I have chosen, a list of pertinent visual information (an image of the resource, author, title, website, necessary hyperlinks, a sentence summary, youtube link, etc.) and very briefly how I would use this resources for my personal or professional development. Overall, the goal is to create a "collection" of essential tools that you feel are critical to becoming culturally responsive educators.
