James Abaddon works subconsciously, without a predetermined plan, assembling all kinds of objects, often the remnants of things washed ashore by the sea, old photographs and even drawings, which he then recycles, oxidises and erodes; obtaining works with a strong poetic charge that force us to reflect on the inexorability of the passage of time and the traces it leaves behind.
Some of his darkest works reach the level of grotesque and have the capacity to merge two worlds that rarely meet; the world of contemporary art and the world of horror art. Death, anguish, the mystery of the unknown or even sex are present in this more daring side of the author, where he bares his soul to share it with us without censorship.
This is why part of the exhibition has been expressly and physically separated and called "Decay Room", and the public is therefore advised that some viewers may find its content disturbing.
