I recently had the chance to tour Minnesota’s (in)famous St. Cloud Penitentiary.
It was worse in ways I’d forgotten prisons were like—and yet more casual in ways unexpected. And this was just one of many contradictory truths I walked away with.
In this video, I share all about my experience from the tour as well as the many topics that came to mind—human dignity, psychology of acclimation, empathy for inmates vs. public safety/justice, prison labor, and more.
Hope you get something from the experience and the topics brought forth. I'd love to know your thoughts on these issues.
Hope you also enjoy your freedom.
