Sentrex power supply snow melting capabilities 2
To show the consistent Sentrex power supply melting capabilities, we allowed for another approx. 6in of snow to build up on the dishes of a AQ510 SoDAR in one of our power supplies. In 2 hours with the use of propane heaters, heat trace and dish heaters, the snow completely melted. Each transition is a 5min interval taken by the SoDAR barrel camera.
These heating capabilities can be applied to any remote sensing device, be it a LiDAR or SoDAR, to improve the data availability during the winter months.
