Nisah Tahara is CEO & Head Team Cheerleader for Outbound IN (www.outbound-in.com) a boutique consulting firm that offers strategic marketing consulting and management training to support learning. Her consulting competency centers on building psychological safety in educational settings, and workplaces to create team excellence and profitability. Her clients include multiple automotive dealerships, cybersecurity firms, one of the largest educational software firms globally, as well as non-profit organizations and professional associations.
Nisah has 25 years of business experience, a Master of Science in Human Resources Management and Organizational Development from Eastern Michigan University (2018), and a Bachelor of Arts in Management from Eckerd College, St. Petersburg, Florida. She has also completed intercultural communication studies at the University of Commerce in Tianjin, China, and paralegal studies at the University of Michigan – Flint.
Nisah has held positions with operations consulting firms as a business development director in the oil and gas sector. She was the regional marketing director in charge of RFP responses for an international AEC firm awarded the renovations to the Mark Jefferson Science facility at Eastern Michigan University, a public relations and community outreach manager for the largest construction services firm in Michigan, in western Wayne County she was the public relations manager for a small city facing many troubling issues. She worked as a customer service training instructor for a major utility company, and a community outreach consultant for New Detroit, Inc., and the Detroit Public Schools.
She enjoys domestic and international traveling, being an amateur chef, teasing her husband, learning from her five adult children, and most of all, spending quality time with her 84-year-old Auntie Bev and three perfectly adorable grandchildren. For more fun, she engages in freelance interior design and decorating projects, flower gardening, reading, and watching documentaries.
