Review Transcript since I'm kinda quiet:
"Okay but like…was it better than the original? No, I don’t think so anyway. It was still really good. The original game is my favorite game of all time and I think that this one is tied, they just excel in different areas. The way the story was told was better here, it had way better voice acting and it looked a lot better visually. The original game has a better aesthetic, a way better artstyle and a way better sound to it. The soundtracks are pretty equal actually, there’s a lot of songs in reload that I don’t like as much as the original but reload has probably the three best songs in the Persona series.”Full moon, Full life”, “Color your Night” and “It’s Going Down Now”. Those are really good. I definitely felt a lot more in this version than the first time around but I think that’s just because I played with headphones because the original game I played on a console, a PS3 on an old TV. That kinda sucked. I feel like if I play FES again I’ll have a lot more to like about it. I definitely prefer the original game’s battle system and gameplay. This game was really easy, there wasn’t a lot of things that I struggled with and I think making it feel more like Persona 5 was a really bad idea. It didn’t work. I mean the game’s still good but I prefer how it was original with the AI controlled party members and the more strict 1 more system. Overall this was still pretty fun though. They’re equal, this game and the original are equal. I just don’t think I’ll ever play this one again, I will never revisit this. Not even kidding, I think the biggest problem is that the guitar sounds awful in every song it’s in. If they had a good sounding guitar I probably would’ve liked this game more than FES. Unavoidable battle was the worst remix, I had to change it to something else for the last two STREGA fights. I really liked the game, even though I had a lot of criticisms. Definitely stands side by side with FES as my favorite game of all time and if anyone ever asks me which version they should play, I’ll tell them to play reload. It gets the job done and that’s all that really matters.
Also the cutscenes are worse. None of them feel anywhere near as good as the originals except for the moonlight bridge scene. New players are going to miss so much in regards to the first impressions and opening twists and that’s a real shame. Even the ending scene, it was originally really vague and up to interpretation. There’s so many small, weird changes that feel unnecessary to me."
